The Sunshine Coast for many Australians has always been a popular and much loved holiday destination and yet most of them never even considered living here.. until now.
Every week I hear stories from new people we meet about how they came to be living here. Some took years to make the eventual move and each took their own individual path to arriving here but theres one thing they'll all tell you and thats HOW MUCH THEY LOVE IT here!
The majority of interstate property buyers coming to the Sunshine Coast are from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide. It was when we started looking on the Coast for a property to purchase that we realised just how many people living in the bigger cities were relocating here, seeking all the same value's of quality lifestyle, affordability, the incredible natural and unique beauty and the friendly, laid back vibe that is very true of the Sunny Coast people.
A lot of people you meet will actually ask you where you've moved from (without knowing you are new in town), in our case it must of been apparent that we had come from Sydney. A lady I met at a market described it as "slowly unwinding" and I have to agree. It took time but I slowly started to speak slower, listen better, take in the moment a lot more and I've even started driving slower (not as well received by others). P.S no speeding or parking tickets either so far, bonus!
So there you have it, it's a fact that more and more people are moving here and loving it and thus the reason for the huge infrastructure expansions and other multi billion dollar projects. Check out my other posts for more in depth discussion on those.
In the meantime check out the Visit Sunshine Coast tourism page for an overview of all the wonderful things the Sunshine Coast has to offer https://www.visitsunshinecoast.com
