The Sunshine Coast is a much loved and iconic holiday hotspot for many Australians and increasingly more international visitors every year. There are of course all the well known attractions such as the spectacular coastline from Noosa to Caloundra with its perfect surf breaks and stunning coastal boardwalks, theres the countless mountains to climb and the natural wonders of the surrounding rainforests and the Noosa everglades. The Sunshine Coast also boasts some of Australia's best produce and delicious local seafood, all of which can be found at some of Australia's finest cafe's, restaurants and markets.
Truly a destination for everyone, even for those who prefer to be indoor.. theres the newly renovated Sunshine Coast Plaza hosting over 300 specialty shops for those in need of some retail therapy or if local artist inspired products are more your style there's the famous Eumundi Markets. Also worth mentioning are some of the incredible day spa's such as Ikatan Balinese near Doonan or the equally incredible Tamarind Spa in Maleny - both are truly divine experiences.
So with so much to see and do I come back to Airbnb experiences. Many people use the Airbnb platform but are not familiar with Airbnb experiences. Personally I've done two and they are some of my most memorable travel moments! My absolute favourite was a small boat charter with a local skipper in Positano, Italy, he took our small group of 10 out to The Isle of Capri - Wow! The second was a horse riding trek also by a local Italian family, at the Vesuvius Mountain foothills - there was local wine and food too.. what more can I say.
Sunshine Coast Airbnb Experiences are also waiting to be had and I'd like to see more emerging! We have so many untapped local talents, places to explore and experiences to be had. The region is so diverse and offers so much variety in tourist experiences but sometimes the best kept secrets can be found by engaging with locals who know the area so well.
